Raising Happy Children

I wish there's a manual for that, Raising Happy Children.  But there's none, and every child differs from each other so I don't think it'll ever work anyway.

So the only thing I can do, is try my best and hope that it'll be enough.  I'm sure there's not a perfect way to do it and we're all bound to make mistakes in doing so but I guess having the best intentions will somehow help.  I know it's wrong to think that some parents doesn't have the best intention for their kids, but trust me there are some parents like that.  I don't understand how is that even possible and why but that's just how it is.

I consider myself extremely lucky for having friends who shares similar values if not the same.  As it really helps me and my husband in raising our boys.  It's quite comforting to know that we're not the only ones going through the same path and difficulties in raising children.  That sometimes, I start questioning myself if I'm doing things right most especially when my son refused to listen or not wanna share his things.

Having children is the most selfless thing I've ever done.  Okay, yeah it's me who wanted children so that's not exactly selfless.  But I'm talking about from the time they were born.  It's life changing.  You suddenly stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about what's best for your child.  I don't think anyone could possibly completely prepare for motherhood.  Just when you thought you got everything figured out, you are suddenly faced with a situation and asking yourself 'How did my parents managed to survive this?'.

Oh well, if there's anything I'm certain of about children.  It's that, they are the best thing that can ever happen to you and are oh so worth it!  There's just no amount of material things can possibly make you feel as happy and satisfied as having a child and having to experience Motherhood.

Kudos to all parents out there, most especially the single parents.  Our best will never be enough, and that's just FINE!  Cut yourselves some slack, we're all doing great :)

Once, my weekends were dedicated to non-stop partying, brunches, shopping and sleeping all day.

And this is how I usually spend my weekends these days!
